Love and Respect

You can't love someone that you do not respect. When you admire someone, you will start to feel greater love for them. Do you want to be like someone? Naturally, you will be more likely to give your heart to the person that you want to be like.

Often times you hear the phrase that love and respect go together. That is certainly true. Love is built upon trust. You trust your heart to someone that you feel can hold it sacred and treat it properly. When the trust dissolves, the love is bound to end.

Many people have said that their one true love was someone that made them want to be a better person. How does that feeling occur? It comes from the beauty and admiration of someone. Once you feel the connection it makes you naturally want to do good. In addition, when true respect is reciprocated, the feeling to be good increases. If you truly want someone to do good things, give them some real respect and you will be surprised at what happens.
